Hi, I'm Marley — Marls to my family. Hand crafted rich cookies made with love, with new flavors every month. Baked to order in the Bay Area, with pickup mainly in Concord, CA.

sea salt chocolate chip · s'mores biscoff · oreo chocolate chip · small batches only

I grew up in a huge, loud, proud, and loving family—the kind of family where gatherings and parties happened almost every weekend. Uncles outside playing cards, aunties catching up and sharing chisme, kids running around making up whatever games we could think of, constant laughter and singing, and of course, lots and lots of homemade food. There was always more than enough—enough to fill everyone's plate and still send people home with a plate for later.
Growing up that way taught me something that has stayed with me:
Food has always been our love language.
I truly believe God gave us different gifts and different ways to serve and love one another, and baking has become one of mine. For me, it's so much more than flour, butter, sugar, and chocolate chips. Baking is one of the ways I show God's love through kindness, generosity, and serving others.
There's something so special about being in the kitchen—browning the butter, mixing the dough, adding probably way too many chocolate chips, and dancing around the kitchen while worship music, R&B, and pop play in the background. And, of course, trying to guard the fresh cookies from my very eager “taste testers.”
Every batch is made with joy, prayer, and a whole lot of love.
My hope for Marls Bakes is that people can feel that love in every bite. Whether I'm baking for family, friends, or someone I've never met before, I want what comes out of my kitchen to reflect the heart God has given me—to serve people well, give generously, and make people feel loved.
Because sometimes love looks like encouragement. Sometimes it looks like showing up for someone.
And sometimes, it looks like a warm chocolate chip cookie.
“Serve one another humbly in love.” — Galatians 5:13
